Document II

Extremely satisfied with the way the war is going, Hitler pays a visit to the recently conquered city of Paris. Realising that he has a completely intact city on his hands due to French cowardice concerning their capital, the Fuhrer decides that this would be a very nice spot for his troops to relax.

This poster was dropped over Great Britain as it appears here, in its English language version in an attempt to woo people over to the city as new Nazi converts.

Again, this poster was commissioned by the Propaganda Ministry but bears the name of the "Third Reich Tourist Association".

Not many people realise that the Eiffel Tower as it appears here is in fact a cardboard replica constructed in the final days of the Battle for France. The original was evacuated from the country and stored aboard an oil tanker anchored just outside the English port of Bristol. Unfortunately it went missing in July 1945 and a copy had to be hastily reconstructed out of matchsticks by old English ladies when the French asked for it back. They haven't noticed yet.

The original Eiffel Tower is rumoured to reside in a private art collection somewhere in Dusseldorf.
