Dalek Variants

This list is a work in progress, I aim to eventually catalogue all Dalek variants as seen on our screens.

Dalek 1

The first model Dalek as depicted in the 1963 Doctor Who story "The Daleks" (aka "The Dead Planet").

Dalek 2

A Dalek Saucer Commander as depicted in the 1964 Doctor Who story, "The Dalek Invasion of Earth". Note the larger base. There is also a dish at the back of the Dalek, a precursor to the power slats that would appear from "The Chase" onwards.
Dalek
This particular Dalek with a black dome was part of a guard contingent assigned to protect the Emperor Dalek on the planet Skaro in the 1964 story "Evil of the Daleks".
Dalek
The Daleks first TV appearance in colour was in the Jon Pertwee story "Day of the Daleks". This gold and black coloured Dalek was the leader of the Daleks on occupied Earth.
Dalek
A member of the Supreme Council appeared on the planet Spiridon in "Planet of the Daleks" This was a modified movie prop from the Peter Cushing film spinoffs of the 1960s.
Dalek
Daleks on Exxilon in "Death to the Daleks" had to equip themselves with machine guns after a power drain prevented their disruptors from operating.

Dalek 3

A Dalek as depicted in the 1975 Doctor Who story "Genesis of the Daleks". Note the almost monochrome colour scheme and the power slats and grilling around the mid-section.
Dalek
Gold and cream "Imperial" Daleks appeared in the stories"Revelation of the Daleks" and "Remembrance of the Daleks".

Dalek 4

A revamped Dalek design as featured in new Doctor Who stories between 2005 ("Dalek") and 2008 ("Journey's End"). Note the metallic copper and bronze style finish, the addition of details such as shut lines, more detailed slats and hemispheres and a slightly taller base. Large lights appear on the dome.

Dalek
Black Daleks have traditionally appeared as task force commanders and Dalek Sec, leader of the Cult of Skaro, was no different.
Dalek
The Supreme Dalek. This particular model appeared in "Journey's End".
